3 yrs ago I installed Cream Marfil & Dark Empadore "Romora Brown" in checker board pattern on diagnal. In a model home.
Recently a new buyer for that community, loved the way the job looked.
So they contaced me, and (http://maplered.com) asked for a price to do the job.
This all took place over the phone, the customer lives in a different state.
So I faxed contract to them they agreed, signed it and (http://maplered.com) faxed it back, so I bought Cream Marfill & Dark Empadore "Romora Brown", and (http://maplered.com) installed it as we discussed..
Now the customer is very upset because the Romora Brown is not as dark as the model.
So I explained that we are dealing with a natural Stone (http://g603.net) , and (http://maplered.com) color shading can vary.
The customer did not except this answer, and (http://maplered.com) feels I should have tried to match the color of the model better.
In my professional opion the match was totaly within limits.
Where do I stand (http://maplered.com) in this situation?? I do not want to end up in court.
There are alot of things that could have been done differently. Like: They should have come to the house and (http://maplered.com) looked at Material (http://g654.org) before install. They could have supplied the Material (http://g654.org) .
I should have explained the posibility of color variations before the install. I could have called all over the world and (http://maplered.com) asked for a sample of current Material (http://g654.org) .. I could have laid out all the Material (http://g654.org) and (http://maplered.com) waited until who knows when, for the customer to look at it.
This may be important; Spoke to customer on wed. Received signed contract.thurs. Started job Fri Finished job sun. They were not moving in for another 15 days The only time I could fit job in schdule was when I did........!! PLEASE HELP, NEED OPINION.
